The New Life
Mani Irani and Eruch Jessawala were among the companions that entered the New Life in 1949 with Meher Baba as their ‘elder brother’. There
were many hardships as well as unexpected acts of people’s generosity. Mani and Eruch relate their stories from this extraordinary, enigmatic time. Filmed at Meherazad 1986
during the pilgrim season.
Produced by Wendell and Tom Brustman. The big surprise is that such quality footage still existed, unpublished until now.
CONTENTS:
- Mani talks about the scenario, the “Song of the New Life”, the helplessness, hopelessness and freedom, Baba’s acts of kindness
towards the companions, and begging for food.
- Eruch talks about begging for accommodation, the story behind the photo (Baba begging), the animals and how they were
acquired.
- Soundtrack by Jamie Newell
The DVD is in NTSC format. 65 minutes, colour.
